TASK 2 - RESEARCH
I will be a pundit for my presentation as I will be an expert on football. A pundit is someone who offers to mass media their opinion on a particular subject area on which they are knowledgeable, or considered a scholar in the area. The term has been increasingly applied to popular media personalities.
I will be in a studio presenting the show on my own. We will film a game and commentate on it. We will have challenges against the players. I will be in the challenges with the staff from the studio and we will be against the Blue Coat school football team. I will be formal in my presentation so the show will look more professional. I want it to look professional so viewer will take the show seriously and this may attract the older viewers.
The main audience is teenagers/young adults. It could also be aimed at anyone that is into football. It will be aimed at this group because it includes young people playing football and they would be the type of people who are into the challenges. The challenges are things that the viewers can try at home or in the park themselves so this should attract more viewers as they will feel more involved.
The purpose of this show will be to inform people about football and to entertain them. I will inform them on recent thing that have happened in football and give them tips on tricks. The show will also be entertaining as they can watch the challenges.
I have done research on shows like ‘Match of the day’ and ‘Soccer AM’ and I have decided to make my show more like ‘Soccer AM’ as it appeals to me more. This show is more entertaining for younger viewers so it will be better for me to do a show more like that. I will make the show more my own by putting in different challenges and presenting it differently.
